I've always wanted to write; about what I do, what I'm learning, what new tricks I've discovered. It's a way of making the knowledge and experience I acquire available to others and also connecting with greater audiences out there. For a start I'll be writing about distributed systems, databases, security, computer networks and software engineering broadly, we'll figure the rest out along the way. Professionally: I am software engineer with 4 years experience. I have worked at Reduzer Technologies, Boxalino AG and currently at Savannah Informatics Limited. I have used Python and Golang predominantly till now, working on projects ranging from API integrations, data engineering, USSD applications and distributed systems.
My academic background is in engineering; I graduated from JKUAT with a degree in BSc Telecommunication and Information Engineering.

Personally: I live in Nairobi, Kenya. I like hiking, history podcasts, anime, novels, arts and extreme sports. If you're into hikes, anime, galleries, museums or are an adrenaline junkie by all means get in touch :).
